/Where things get a second life
Ritter Workshop is a place where every item is treated with care and an individual approach. We work with shoes, bags, jackets, and various leather goods, investing what no modern machinery can replace—craftsmanship, experience, and a deep feel for the material.

Footwear repair – from minor fixes to total restoration
Footwear repair at the Ritter Workshop is not just a quick “cosmetic” fix. It is a thoughtful process where we evaluate the material, the nature of the damage, and how to best preserve the footwear’s original construction and feel. We work with sneakers, casual footwear, classic dress shoes, and boots.
Most Common Repair Services
- Footwear gluing and sole re-gluing
- Heel tap and protective sole replacement
- Stitching and reinforcement work
- Boot shaft narrowing or shortening
- Heel counter and structural restoration

The appearance of footwear changes, but the core value remains—a confident step and lasting durability.

Bag repair & restoration – care and expertise for items with a story
Bag repair requires special patience, as each piece differs in its material, construction, and type of wear. In our workshop, we work with both everyday bags and luxury brands: Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Miu Miu, Fendi, and others.
What We Repair and Restore
- Replacement of snap hooks and reinforcement of metal hardware
- Zipper repair and full replacement
- Handle restoration and reinforcement
- Stitching work and structural repair
- Bag surface restoration
- Color touch-ups or full recoloring
- Rivet and hardware replacement
The goal is always to preserve the bag’s character, shape, and quality—without exaggeration or artificial “redesign.”
/leather item dyeing
Leather dyeing – a new life for the material
Coloring is one of the most complex tasks, as the color must be applied evenly while preserving natural depth and texture.
At the Ritter Workshop, we use Tarrago dyes—professional, durable, and precisely matched to the shade required for each item.
How the Coloring Process Works
- Initial evaluation of the item
- Thorough degreasing and surface preparation
- Application of multiple coats of dye
- Tone matching for subtle details and a natural finish
- Protective topcoat for long-lasting durability
We dye smooth leather, nubuck, velour, eco-leather, and selected fabrics where the material permits.
