RETURN POLICY AND RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (www.ritter.lv)
These terms and conditions establish the procedure by which the Buyer can exercise the right of withdrawal and return goods purchased on the online store www.ritter.lv (hereinafter – the Online Store). Online store services and sales of goods are provided by SIA “Ritter” (reg. No. 40103244787, legal address: Kapseļu iela 25A-4, Rīga, LV-1083, actual address/store: Stabu iela 44, Rīga, LV-1011).
1. Right of Withdrawal (14-Day Period)
In accordance with the Consumer Rights Protection Law of the Republic of Latvia (CRPL) and Cabinet Regulation No. 255 “Regulations Regarding Distance Contracts”, the Buyer (a natural person purchasing goods for purposes unrelated to their trade or professional activity) has the right to withdraw from the purchase contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason.
The period for exercising the right of withdrawal expires after 14 days starting from the day when the Buyer or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by the Buyer acquires physical possession of the goods (received at an Omniva parcel locker, via courier, or in person).
2. Procedure for Exercising the Right of Withdrawal
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Buyer is required to inform the Seller of their decision to withdraw from the contract in a clear and unambiguous statement:
- By sending a free-form written notice or a completed withdrawal form by email to: info.sia.ritter@gmail.com;
- Or by submitting it in person at the SIA “Ritter” store: Stabu iela 44, Rīga, LV-1011.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period (the 14th day) has expired.
Important! The direct costs of returning the goods (e.g., postal, parcel locker, or courier costs) shall be borne by the Buyer, except in cases where the goods are returned due to non-conformity with the terms of the contract (defective item).
3. Return Conditions and Condition of Goods
The Buyer is responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of the goods during the period for exercising the right of withdrawal. For a return to be accepted, the following conditions must be met:
- The product must be in its original, undamaged packaging (opening the packaging to inspect the item is not considered damage);
- The product must be unused, unscratch, and undamaged (shoe care products, dyes, and sprays must have intact safety seals, be unused, and un-sprayed);
- The product must be complete and in the same condition as received;
- When returning the product, proof of purchase (receipt, invoice, or payment order) must be attached.
4. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal
The Buyer cannot exercise the right of withdrawal in the cases specified in Clause 22 of Cabinet Regulation No. 255, including if:
- The goods are made to consumer specifications or are clearly personalized;
- The goods are liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
- The consumer has unsealed the packaging of goods that are not suitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons (e.g., hygiene items, opened try-on socks for shoes, and other similar accessories);
- The goods, according to their nature, are inseparably mixed with other items after delivery (e.g., mixed paints or chemicals).
5. Refund Procedure
If the Buyer withdraws from the contract, the Seller shall reimburse all payments received from the Buyer (except for additional costs arising if the Buyer chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive standard delivery offered by the Seller) without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days from the day on which the Seller is informed of the decision to withdraw from the contract.
The Seller reserves the right to withhold the refund until the goods have been received back or until the Buyer has supplied proof of having sent back the goods, whichever is earlier.
Refunds will be made to the bank account specified by the Buyer in the withdrawal form.
6. Dispute Resolution and Warranty
The Consumer has the right to submit a claim to the Seller regarding goods that do not conform to the terms of the contract within 2 years from the date of purchase. Disputes and disagreements shall be resolved through mutual negotiations. If an agreement cannot be reached, the Buyer has the right to apply to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre (PTAC) or to the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
